The Mickey Marquee Review:

Finally got to check out ANT Man and I give it 5/5!!! 5 STARS BABY!!!

It had everything...  A great plot and characters, humor, action, surprises and kept your attention the whole movie.  Being me I did a little poll for those in my theater after the movie and no one gave it a bad review.  I don't want to ruin anything but this movie will be liked by both true Marvel junkies and those who have never seen a Marvel movie before.. although it always helps.

If you haven't seen it yet please do yourself a favor and check it out... oh and stay for 2 clips and the end! That's right there's a follow up for the next Ant Man movie and The Captain America movie at the end of the longer credits!!

Up next? Well Disney's Descandant's on Disney Channel and then....

The Good Dinosaur which finally has a trailer !

That's coming later this year and coming next year.... FINDING DORY!! When it comes to sequels Pixar does it right and this one has the whole gang back together (hopefully the Sequels will be as well)

Coming Soon To A Theater Near You

So much buzz on what's happening when it comes to Disney Live Action films and this is the official list of what is on the way...

The Sword In The Stone- All we know so far is that the screenplay is currently being produced by Game of Thrones Writer/ Producer

Pete's Dragon- Scheduled to hit theaters August 12, 2016 and starring Oakes Fegley, Oona Laurence, Bryce Dallas Howard, Karl Urban and Robert Redford.

Dumbo- Tim Burton's Blend of CGI animation and live action "masterpiece" has no details yet but that alone has us nervous!

Alice Through The Looking Glass- Set to hit the big screen next year, the original Tim Burton cast will be returning plus Sacha Baron Cohen

Pinocchio- While many are skeptical about this live action maybe the casting of Geppetto will make you feel a little better... Robert Downey Jr!!!

Maleficent 2- No word on casting or too much yet but if it's anything like the first I'm in!

Cruella- Ok Villains are definitely the big thing right now but how could we forget the 96 live action film with Glen Close... Hopefully she makes the return for this movie!! (Ps how much did you love the Cruella in Once before she went psycho)

Winnie The Pooh- Hasn't really been talked about too much yet but has potential... maybe?! The film is supposed to star Christopher Robin as an adult and going back to The Hundred Acre Woods... as long as it's not like Return to Oz!

Beauty And The Beast- According to Josh Gad's instagram that's a wrap on filming but there's still so much to be done! I'm still nervous but I also have time to let it simmer, the film will hit the big screen on March 17, 2017 (aka Will's Birthday)

Mulan- Another one I'm nervous about! No casting rumors yet but Disney fans have made a petition that an Asian Actress portray Mulan... I Vote Jamie Chung (and she would be familiar with the role after ONCE)

The Jungle Book- While the movie has an all star cast Christopher Walken as King Louie is a tad nerve-racking! And we don't have a long wait for this half CGI half Live Action film... April 2016

Tink- Reese Witherspoon is going to be an amazing Tink!! No other details including plot or schedule but this one has a lot of potential!

Prince Charming- We've talked about this one on the show and I fully support it! The movie will be based on the brother of Prince Charming who didn't exactly live up to the family name.

Genie- May not be the best timing wise on this one plus how can you have Genie without Robin Williams! The film is set to be a prequel on Aladdin and shows how the Genie well to stuck in the bottle. It will feature a whole realm of Genies and will set the path for an eventual remake of an Aladdin live action film.

The Night on Bald Mountain- Before you get confused let me explain... Night on Bald Mountain is a scene from Fantasia and features that character that gives you the creeps and was featured in Spectromagic, The Chernabog! I'm sensing a Halloween release?!

So which are you looking forward to or are nervous about?!

Welcome Home!

Alright my DVC friends this update is for you!!!

Everyone is speculating what the next project will be now that we are almost done with The Polynesian Villas and it looks like we are staying in the Magic Kingdom Area with expansions on The Villas at Disney Wilderness Lodge!

Permits and Plans have been filed for 26 Waterside Villas- one story villas located along Bay Lake. The villas will be similar to The Bora Bora villas at Poly but not literally on the water.

Also included in these plans are new restaurants, recreation amenities including new pools and refurbishments and enhancements on current pools.

Also in DVC news Disney Vacation Club Vera Bradley Bags will be released on Monday 7/6!!! I know my mom is getting one of these beauties! You can still get some other DVC goodies at disneystore.com too!

Disney World Headlines of the Week

Yes the rumors are true, The Magic of Disney Animation is closing within the next few weeks :(

That means no more Animation Academy where you learn how to draw characters, Mushu's fun little show and let's not forget those character meet and greets! The character for the most part will be moved. Minnie will go back to center stage, the area in front of The Great Movie Ride, Mickey will get a new home near Studio Catering Company... um could we actually put his home that used to be in Magic Kingdom there, The Incredibles have been moved to the area outside Playhouse Disney LIVE, and Baymax... well we are not ready to talk about our sadness of that yet.

Ok speaking of sadness we were hoping to meet some of our favorite emotions there this year!! No word if they will still bring the latest characters out in Hollywood Studios but we have our fingers crossed!

Rumor has it One Man's Dream will be closing as well... I am not handling this well!!! Toy Story Mania's expansion is confirmed so there's speculation that is the cause but nothing has been confirmed yet. I have a feeling within the next 5 years Hollywood Studios (if that's even the name) will be unrecognizable!

Disney Quest will also be closing in 2016 to make room for the new NBA Experience store... that's going to be a HUGE store!

Ok enough of the closures let's talk some opening dates...

Coming in 2016:

Kilimajaro Night Safaris

March- Rivers of Light: The new fantasmic like show coming to Disney's Animal Kingdom
May- Frozen Ever After

Late 2016- The completion of The Disney Springs (Downtown Disney)

2017:
AVATARland

We will keep you posted on all this and more,
~Christina
